    <description><![CDATA[The village of Neformtasa, Oecussi, Timor L'este was almost completely destroyed during the ensuing bloodshed that occurred in 1999 after a UN supervised referendum to decide East Timor's independence from Indonesia. Most of the population of East Timor is Catholic and consequently the village church is a revered edifice. This old man poses proudly inside the church which has been rebuilt and he curates.]]></description>
