environmental contamination India
Description: Chemically polluted water fills the only playground where Muslim children have to play in their colony. The chemical waste stems from an underground pipe leak from nearby chemical plants. Residents have made numerous complaints regarding this matter but no action has been taken. Aside from the toxic fumes caused by the chemicals, the residue is being absorbed by the children's skin as many do not have shoes to wear.
