Goodbye My Love
Description: Fabiola Trejo and her daughter Linda Thomason sit at Robert's bedside while visiting him at his care facility in Hayward, Calif. Jan. 19, 2009. Robert was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in 2002, and Fabiola cared for her husband of over 60 years alone in their home for over four years before he suffered a fall and had to be admitted to the care facility. At the beginning of 2009 it is clear that the end is near, and Fabiola and her daughter visit their husband and father daily as he slips away from them.
